Photographic journey through the Moroccan desert

Join us for a unique photographic journey on the Moroccan desert, led by award-winning photographer and experienced photography lecturer Michał Korta.

This is a rare opportunity to explore the beauty of the world, the complexity of Atlas cultures, desert landscapes, and to develop your own, conscious photographic style. These workshops are primarily a lesson in light awareness—an aspect far more critical than the type of camera you use. It’s also a blend of mindfulness, meditation, and focus on the people, light, and the world around you. You’ll learn to appreciate the changing natural light in the raw desert landscape and embark on a journey toward a higher level—as both a photographer and a mindful observer.

You don’t need to be a photographer to join our journey. The group is small, allowing us to tailor the workshop content to each participant, and we offer photography lessons for beginners. All you need is a phone, curiosity, and a desire to explore the world, as these are what create unforgettable moments.

During this photographic journey, you will:

  • Be introduced to portrait and documentary photography, refining the skill of consciously creating photographic narratives.
  • Learn to notice the subtle qualities of natural light and the emotions that shape a photograph’s atmosphere.
  • Discover techniques for crafting visual form, style, and messaging, helping you develop a unique visual language.
  • Enhance your self-awareness as a photographer, discovering how your sensitivity, experiences, and personality influence your art.
  • Visit picturesque towns in the mountains, exploring their unique architecture, colors, light, and landscapes.
  • Spend nights in the desert under a starry sky, drawing inspiration from the silence and vastness.
  • Participate in portrait sessions with nomads (Berbers), learning respect and sensitivity toward other cultures and storytelling with dignity.
  • Create authentic images in places inaccessible to mass tourism.
  • Experiment with form and narrative to find your personal style and express yourself authentically and movingly.
  • Engage in discussions about overcoming ego in photography and how to work through these challenges.
